The definition should make a claim clearer, not make it sound more certain than the evidence allows.
Mechanism is not medical proof. Receptor activity, a cell experiment, an animal study, an aroma association, and a controlled human trial sit on different evidence levels.
Avoid converting chemical vocabulary into cure, symptom-relief, mood, or safety promises unless an appropriately designed body of human evidence supports the exact preparation and outcome.
Degradation alone does not establish: identity beyond its documented scope, contaminant safety, a guaranteed experience, a medical benefit, a safe dose, or legal authorization.
